I agree that the whole region coding thing is a pain. I bought Glengarry GlenRoss on dvd when it was released in the US several years ago. I watched it on my old multiregion dvd player at the time. I replaced this player with my Pionner Blu Ray player which was made multi region enabled for dvd playback (and has worked with other R1 discs) by Sevenoaks. When I tried to watch the film a few days ago, the thing politely refused to play citing incorrect region coding for its behaviour. How can I explain to it that it's the same type of disc it's played before? I fear there might be a breakdown in communication and that my plea will fall on deaf.....mmmm....ears.

Preferably, well done. There are too many poor transfers out there.
