Blu Ray US imports

Does anyone know if US imported blu ray discs work with UK region players? I noticed that amazon are selling a US import version of Shutter. As far as I'm aware it's not available as a Region B disc.

UK is region 2 or B, if the blu-ray disk is region free then it should be fine and it will work.
If you have a uk player & want to import disks make sure they are region free for them to work.

There are a number of US discs which are region free so can be played on UK Blu-Ray players. Have a look at MovieTyme's website - they list all the discs that they've actually tested will work on UK Blu-Ray players.

If you type Blu-Ray Region Code Info into Google, you'll find a site that lists every blu-ray release and whether it is region encoded.

Generally (US Imports):

Warner Brothers - Region Free
Universal - Region Free
Paramount - Region Free
Sony - mixture of Region Free and Region coded
Fox - Region Locked
New Line - Region Locked
Disney - mixture of Region Free and Region coded
Lionsgate - normally region locked (however i think i have one which plays on my region B PS3)

There are sites which keep a record of specific titles you should check out. I will see if i can find a list.
