Chord Signet - which direction

I've just bought the Signet and have noticed the directional arrows. I've connected up with the arrows pointing towards the termination going into my DAC and the other end, arrows pointing away from the termination, into my amp. Is this correct? Does it really matter? Sounds great at the moment!

Assuming you believe in cable directionality, the arrows should point from the source - ie your DAC - towards your amp.

So in the picture below, the plugs nearest the camera go into the source component. Does it make a difference? Decide for yourself - but what harm does it do to follow the manufacturer's suggestion?
