By the way, I had said I had emailed Chord. Well I got a response in 2 days and we exchanged a few emails thereafter. They were very helpful - and convinced me Rumour was still better than Silverscreen as it uses higher quality copper wire, there are fewer but thicker strands, etc.

Many thanks Chainrock, good idea regarding cheaper cable for parties. Think I`ll contact Hifi Cables and get some quotes for the Rumour and Odyssey.

I was cutting up pieces of Odyssey2 to make jumpers (HF to LF) to replace the links that came with the speakers and realised how solid the core of the cable is. I couldn't cut with a knife! Each of the nine strands was really thick and tough.

I have to say the sound improved a lot by just replacing the links that came with the speakers with Odyssey cable! Everything became better defined!
