Chord DAC user seeks decent iPhone dock

All my Lossless music is streamed beautifully from Mac to DAC via AE, but there are times when I'm Spotify-ing downstairs on my iPhone and can't be bothered hiking upstairs to launch Airfoil.

A simple solution for my evening laziness seems to be a dock linking iPhone to amp. Should I just spend a minimal amount (£30-50?), or is it worth increasing the outlay?

Um...not sure an iPhone will play Spotify through it's dock connector. Certainly wouldn't when I hooked it up to somebody's car recently...

Hi John,

My iPhone slots into my kitchen Monitor Audio dock/speaker thingy and plays Spotify perfectly, so I presumed this would be the case with a dock.

Mmm, wouldn't a simple mini-jack to analogue (from iPhone to amp) do it anyway? Too late to try now but will pilfer my daughter's said cable and try it tomorrow. Not the same as a dock but should provide the same outcome. Shouldn't it?
