I suppose it's a bit late to point out that the Rotel RA-1520 is a discontinued product. (Unless you can find 'end-of-line', used or clearance examples.)

Out of the Rotels you mentioned, i would suggest the 1520 as well. Also, for my ears, it's rather better then the Rega, which i found sounded like a fenity mess.

Hi fellow members,

Rather getting a new amp, my dad is giving me his audiolab 8000s and 8000p. So it's going to be a pre/ power combo. Is this going to be an upgrade or not?? It's the original late 90s audiolab. At least the power amp is a good 100watts rms into 8 ohms.
