choosing an amp

Hi im in need of some help, i am new to all of this i am looking for an amp i will be using to power a technics twin cassette deck late eighties model a turntable, nothing special and i have been given a 5.1 surround sound system Eltax Liberty speakers.

My budget isnt alot its upto £200 as this is my first foray into seperate systems i dont realy want to go mad.

i am hoping somebody can suggest something that will help me out, i dont mind either new or searching on ebay for a second hand, i just dont know what im looking for.

Hi, If you want to power a surround system then your need an AV receiver, not an integrated stereo amplifier. The AV receivers are primarily used for movies. So look at the budget Pioneer, Onkyo and Yamaha AV receivers. You can probably pick up a fairly good one for £200 second hand. But you will find one for £200 new from the brands I mention.
