If you haven't bought yet, I'd recommend AE compact 1s for small speakers. I really love mine and they sit happily on a bookshelf, are tiny, and sound great. Perfect monitor style, and gloss black. (or walnut) £84.90 from Peter Tyson, even cheaper when I got mine for £99

I would second a Creek 4040. in fact someone elsementioned a Creek 4330; I have both and after a year or so enjoying the 4330 (a 400 quid amp) i have actually revertes to the 4040 as its an incredibly enjoyable amp. It has suprising drive and bounce to it, and doesn't discriminate against poorer recordings like the 4330 does. i really can't imagine a more musical amp for around 70 quid (fleabay prices). have it driving a pair of mission 751's and its like johnny cash is there in my living room. sounds great with compressed radio aswell dab/www
