CES 2008 & Marantz av 8003

Howdy All,

Has anyone heard any news on any new, higher end pre-amps. What Hifi illuded to some new Marantz equipment & ive seen in some other forums mentions of an AV 8003 pre-amp.

Does anyone have any info about this or other new pre-amps?

Just spoke to Simon this morning and he's been to the Marantz press conference at CES, so is pulling everything together as we speak. We'll post a News story as soon as we have the pictures.

Just had a few quick pointers from Simon.

Marantz will launch its first Blu-ray player, the BD8002, in August 2008. It will cost approx 2000 euros.

The AV8003 preamp/media streamer you mention will have all the relevant HD audio decoding and can be paired with the Marantz MM8003 7-channel power amplifier (140wpc). Both are due in June 2008, price likely to be £3000 the pair.

We're just waiting for the PR company to come back to us with some better pics, then we'll post a full news story on the site (hopefully later today!). Thanks for your patience.
