Hello Everyone.

Any of you who has "the latest AV receivers, 7.2- 7.4"

Does ordinary CD's play through all speakers? ( I understand that "Digitally Remastered might?)

If Yes... is there much of a noticable difference?

Many thanks

CD is stereo and so only uses the left & right speakers in a HC system, however there are various modes available that you can select to expand the sound into more speakers if you wish, as to whether it is better is down to personal preference, but usually just left/right is fine.

Digital remaster just means they have taken the original recordings and remixed it on modern equipment to theoretically give it a better quality sound, (Although some studios use it for other purposes which makes the sound worse) however it is still stereo.

Simple answer is no, CD s are recorded in stereo remastered or not, whatever receiver you may have is irrelevant I believe as its the source equipment that determines how a disc is decoded.
A modern bluray player or a SACD player will provide multichannel music with the right media but the receiver has no part in the proceedings normally.
