Use the tape out or Md out on the amp? I thought I could connect this output to an amp and get some sound out of it...but maybe Im wrong. Ive tried it and no some coming through the other amp.

JohnDuncan:Depends what the source amp is?
Yeah thats what i thought to use tape out you need a tape in.

I have a tuner connected to the MD in, and another amp connected do MD out , even If I select MD on the first amp, I can't get any sound on the second amp.

Maybe it just works connected to a tape deck or mini disc deck. just thought I could get sound coming out from that connection...

I have the home cinema audio out connected to to Md-in (on the sony amp) and Md-out (on the sony amp) connected to cd-in on the yamaha amp.Sound comes out from the sony amp when MD selected,No sound coming from the yamaha amp though.

Like JD, I'm a bit baffled as to what you're trying to achieve, but not surprised you're not getting sound from the Yamaha amp when connected like this, because

a) When you select CD-in on the Yamaha, there's no signal going out from the 'home cinema audio out', as this will only deliver whichever source is selected

and b) The tape out on the Sony amp probably can't get a feed from the amp's tape in, as then there would be a feedback loop.

I think I can see where you're coming from.

I use tape out on my Denon 1909 to provide a feed to the Technics using a long phono to phono. This lets me have radio from Cable to another room.

BUT it only works if I use analogue in from the Virgin box to the Denon. If I use the digital optical out form the Virgin box the Denon will not output that in analogue. Maybe that is your problem?
