Can I talk about vinyl blogs here?

Just wondering if I'm OK talking about a vinyl blog I found.

This guy asks for people to send him 1st presses of records to rip on his TT and upload to the site.

I know some will say this isn't fully legit but how else can I hear a rare and expensive press of a record on a quality TT? and besides, I've since gone out and bought some of the records I've heard and other albums by the artist that I'd not heard of before.

Just wondered what the rules were on this sort of thing. Personally I think it's a great thing, making high quality vinyl available to the masses, but then thats me. (I have a feeling that I'm gonna get in trouble about this)

Is this why we have the radio filled with N'dubz, Lady GAGA, the jonas bros, miley cyrus, simon cowell and the like, because people never get to hear the good stuff? It's hard to keep faith with the music industry these days... Revolutzion!

EDIT: Deleted? OK then how about "gosh darn it! " instead? Thought only the septics considered blaspemy inappropriate language these days.

Beanos and 101 Records listed in the article were my local stores for album browsing.

It felt like a big loss when Beanos closed, but then the internet is so accessible to buy from its not the end of the road for vinyl. The real issue is you then have to buy without seeing and rely on anothers grading system.

I have a 1968 Island Pink label copy of this ILP 985 and it's in stereo.

I am not saying you are wrong i am just enquiring as 1968 was a long time ago.

Apparently yes this was firstly in mono.
