Question Can I connect these Tannoy speakers to my Sony TV?

Any help appreciated. Got a pair of Tannoy Eyris 2 Sycamore speakers and I wanted to know if I would be able to connect them to my TV (Sony KDL 4W3000) so I could hear the TV audio out of them? If it’s possible do I need some specific cables?

I’ve attached a picture of the speakers and the back of the TV.

Not directly to your TV, no Tim.
You need some amplification between the TV and the speakers.
The bottom righthand red & white RCA sockets would connect to the input and your speakers to the output of something like this:

You're welcome.
Just be aware of the one possible disadvantage:
The output from the TV will (very likely) be fixed - which means your TV remote will not control the volume to the Tannoys.

You could buy (or may even own) an amplifier with remote control, otherwise you'll just need to use the amp's volume control.

I wouldn't mind betting that your TV already has better sound than the latest, ultra-thin tellies. But those Tannoys will be so much better.
(Best to turn your Sony's internal speakers to minimum so that they don't colour the sound).

If you were to go for that Lepy amp, note that the speaker outputs require fairly thin bare cable - or 2mm plugs / adaptors, as opposed to the more usual 4mm type plugs (as used on the Tannoys).
