For about 6 years now, i have a Panasonic Plasma TV, which i like very much. But the size could be bigger especially with films or (nature) documentaries. Films usually give black above and below which subtracts from the total image. Bigger tv leaves bigger visable image of course. Unfortunately they don't make plasma's anymore. And i must say that plasma has some weakness in the 'white area'.
My question: Can an OLED TV simulate the kind of 'softness' that plasma has, by lowering contrast or lowering dynamics (HDR)? Most OLED tv's in shops have very high dynamics and high intensity images which makes the image unnatural sharp to me.
