Hello all!

I have been browsing whathifi forums for an AB comparison of cambridge azur 851a and musical fidelity m3i for a while now, but no one seems to have posted a thread on this. So now I am

I have auditioned them both, though with a few months in between. They sounded somewhat similar to me, both being clean and lean and ever so slightly forward sounding. Entertaining and good allround amps. Both sounded great to me, but in retrospect it is hard to decide which one is better. I'm wondering if anyone here have an opinion on this? Which one has the greatest ability to pinpoint musicians in the soundstage, ergo which one sounds the most "high end" ?

I would suggest looking at it slightly differently, and it may require you to audition both amps again. Rather than asking which sounds the most high-end, instead ask yourself which one swept you up in the music the most. Which did you enjoy the most?

Also of great importance, have you tried both with your own speakers and source? Synergy between amp and speakers is crucial.
