Cambridge Audio 640aV2 vs Rotel RA-02

Evening all...

Little bit of advice if anyone has experience of hearing both the CA 640aV2 and the Rotel RA-02 amps.

I currently have the CA being fed by a DacMagic with the amp feeding a pair of Q-Acoustics 2050's but have the chance to acquire the Rotel amp for very little money. My question is how does the Rotel compare in sound to the CA?

Hi northernsoul

If you are happy with your Cambridge amp then i'll suggest you carry on with it because as good as the Rotel is i feel you'll ultimately be taking a step backwards with the RA-02.

hum backwards...thought it could put out more bass the rotel but different character to the 640A. guess id prefer the CA also.-
