Evening all, am looking to get the cabling purchased in the next day or so, any help/recommendations appreciated.

Kit list

Onkyo 606
SKY HD (to be ordered)
KEF 3005SE
Panasonic TH-46PZ81

speakers - Chord Carnival SilverScreen
sub cable- Chord Crimson
HDMI - QED Qunex HDMI-P
Optical - Chord Optichord
component - QED Qunex SR-CV
Power - Tacima CS929

questions
1. what do people think about the cabling spec I've put together? Any good sites for buying?
2. does sky have coaxial and optical or just optical, I saw the new pace might have both? Only have 2 x optical on amp
3. Is the Tacima a surge protector as well?
4. Anyone recommend a RCA/phone wall plate for the sub and how are they wired at the back?
5. The plasma has 2 scart sockets, worth running them into the wall at the same time?

Thanks all

1. I see no problem with the cable choices.

2. The new Pace has both. Your 606 has coaxial in. If poss I would use coaxial.

3. Yes.

4. QED or Maplin

5. I don't see a reason why not, as time goes on you'll need them less and less but why not have the facility?

All seems fine. Try audiovisualonline but component wise, don't pay £90 for the QED one. I've just sold (last week) the very same cable on ebay for £35 and it was mint. Have a look on ebay for all of your cables first, there are many shops on there.

I would not bother with the scart cables. Have one handy. I've only ever needed one when a dvd player was set to scart by default and I had to connect it to change it to hdmi. I can't see any other reason.
