I have just been offered a deal with my local cable company,to include a tv package with my bundle.Although they seem to have a HD box,can anyone tell me if they show the same HD Content that Sky do? I dont want to commit myself to a deal then find I am getting zero HD content compared to Sky.

You will be getting very little HD content compared to sky if it is virgin you are talking about.

I might be wrong but I think Virgin only have BBCHD. If they have more it's not much. Also they no longer have Sky One, Sky News or Sky Sports news - Which just happen to be my 3 most watched channels. Sky currently has 10 HD channels.

On the other hand, at least you'd get to see tv during heavy rain. If Cable ever gets the same content and quality as Sky then I'd be tempted as I hate having a satelite dish, until then its Sky for me. I do get my broadband through cable though.

I have sky HD and the content is increasing slowly but surely. Also, in the news section of this site they are are saying E4 will be in HD in December which includes shows like smallville, ugly betty etc.
