Dear all
I just have moved to Dulbin and wonder whether some of you might be able to help me to understand how the TV works here.
The previous tenant in my flat had NTL (I know this because he left his "Mediabox", a UPC box that looks quiet outdated and has scart outputs). If I plug my TV directly into the socket (rathe than the box), do I actually profit from NTL, or do I pick up the normal free-to-air service? I assume the latter, since the channels on offer are few and seem random (they include Sky News and Channel 6, but not BBC News 24, for example).
If I decide to go with a cable provider, should I go with NTL or with Sky? I'm going to need a minimal package with the main British channels only. I'm not much of a TV person. I would like to receive BBC radio, too, if possible.
Any thoughts?
