Of course my Denon TU-260L tuner only cost £10

The tuner was 'getting by' with a pair of old freebie phono cables of indeterminate brand from my cable 'stash' since I bought it a couple of weeks ago.

Today I got a 1m set of Chord Crimson 5 pin DIN --> 2 phono so I can connect it to the locking DIN tuner input socket on the Nait.

The DIN connector/collar/sleeve is absolutely identical in every way to those on the Naim cable that came with my CD5i, which made me wonder if Chord also make Naim's DIN interconnects.

Needless to say, the sound from the tuner is better now. Quite noticeably more authoritative. Just tried it on BBC R2 which happened to have a live acoustic session with the Lightning Seeds. Fantastic. I have heard similar live sessions a couple of times recently but this really jumped into the living room with me in quite a scary but exhilarating way. The sheer presence was impressive.
