BW Sub For Stereo ?

Do BW or anyone else make a sub just for stereo listening ..i would imagine the cone size would need to be smaller than the usuall 12' that dominates the home cinema market

e.g BW608 with BW685

But what would match say BW 805S as the 825 sub on paper appears to be too large and would most likely swamp the standmounts with too much bass.

don't be scared of mixing manufacturers - take a look at rel for example dedicated sub manufacturer so their stuff has to intergrate with everyones - the options of intergrations are more important and that the sub is fast and plays more than one note - recently upgraded to rel and by far the best sub ever owned and have gone through a few. Great build and sound although mines a big beast

any sub properly set up won't swamp the main speakers - the prob ppl have as said earlier today is that they set crossover to low and volume to loud which leaves a very fatiguing listen - takes a little work to get it right but when you do you will be extactic and suddenly find a fuller sound that even most floorstanders can't reproduce - not just talking about bass heavy music but once it set up the first time you hear an accoustic guitar/kick drum you suddenly realise what you.ve been missing

Thanks for that and ive just reduced the subs volume from 12 o'clock to 9 o'clock with the HZ set at 60..It is now smoother and less boomie.overall its smoother to listen too. Only tried this with Black Eyed Peas so far. The End album..

how are you gettin on now with a few different albums - bass heavy music is not always the best to use unless its a very constant beat - by bass heavy i mean loud bass not deep - a lot of dance/rap ect is loud and may leave you setting volume to low for other music - every sub i have ever had has been too loud when set at the 12 o'clock position for music 9 is def a better place to start - i also run mine at about 60hz/64hz my standmount are rated to 42hz but i think the lower figure is prob always a little wide
