Hi all!

I'm currently looking into upgrading my stereo system. I'm on a fairly tight budget (500 euro) and I basically want a new amplifier, cd player and a new speakers. New to me that is, as I'll most likely be buying these used.

I've spotted a Marantz PM66 SE KI that looks flawless, combined with a Marantz CD5000 this will take up little less than half my budget. As for speakers, I'm looking into B&W Dm2 Mark 2's. A few years ago I heard these at a friends house, and ever since I've been wanting a pair for myself.

Would this be a good system, or should I look at something else.

No argument with that system at all, Jan, but see if you can find a CD63MkII KI Signature CD player to go with that amp - the two were designed to work together, and they can be found now for very sensible money.

Thanks
for your reply Andrew. Would a CD63MkII be a huge improvement over the
CD5000? I've only been able to find it for some very steep prices, and
I think I'd rather spend whatever is left on better interlinks and
better speakercables.
