Hi all,

I've recently purchased a pair of B&W 685 speakers with an Azure 550A and a DacMagic.

I am now on the quest of finding a good pair of stands on a budget of 150 euro, 100 GPB. Searching through this forum I came accross the Atacama Nexus 6 stands, but the post is two years old. Are this still a good pair of stands or should I look at some other model?

I'm looking for something that produces good sound, that matches the 685 size and shape and that are slightly stable and secure.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Javier!

Do you have any other suggestions then in a similar (or slightly higher) range of price?

Thanks

Ideally I'd be looking at some Partington Dreadnoughts or B&W's own stands, but both are going to be quite a bit above budget unless you can find a second hand pair. The 685s really benefit from very solid stands. My money would be on the Dreadnoughts.

The Atacama SL series might be worth a look.

They have been described as a couple of oil rigs as they're that big and solid! They come in a range of heights, fillable, have extra large top plates, and only a bit over budget.
