Budget CD Player Recommendation

Just a little update. After all this I ended up with another piece of quality castoff kit from my old man. An early-90s vintage Pioneer PD-S601. Lucky for me, as due to some changes in my financial circumstances since this thread started a couple of weeks ago I no longer have the budget for buying anything at the moment! It's definitely a whole bunch of steps up from the knackered Walkman!
