Why wouldn't I buy a Brennan B2?

It's a CD player and an HDD and a radio. It stores and plays back in FLAC. It even has a 2 x 15 watt amp for me to use on a desk in a spare room with my JPW Sonatas. It would allow full backups to be taken.

What's the catch? Does it sound like ####?

Any first hand user experience out there?

Thanks.

How important is the CD in your spare room setup? You might want to think about a multi-room solution whereby you just have the one bit of source equipment and storage in the house and a way of controlling it and sending the sound to different rooms. I think that is ultimately the future, although having an independent bit of kit with real buttons that does it's own thing very well is also a nice option to have.

I remembered that there was a discussion on the forum a while back - Google to the rescue.
