Hello,

I am new to the world of cinema surround sound and would like some advice about which Bowers & Wilkins speaker combination will work best with Marantz AV8802 Multichannel AV Preamplifier (with Auro 3D upgrade) for a 10.1 Auro 3D configuration. My budget is 50000 USD for the speakers. I need a suggestion in selecting the 'Voice of God' speaker especially.

Thank you.

Hi there and welcome to the forum.

With that sort of speaker budget, if you haven't already done so, you need to check other brands as well eg. Kef R Series and Monitor Audio.

The two most important speakers for AV are the centre speaker (go for the more expensive model if available) and the Sub (which doesn't need to be the same brand as the rest, unless aesthetics are an issue...look at brands like Velodyne, Paradigm and especially JL Audio).

The size of your room has a bearing on the size of speakers/sub you can go for.

Will the system be used for 2 channel?..... which may have a bearing on Front L & R speakers.

Make sure the speakers you choose aren't too much for the amp.

Find a good dealer to guide you.

What power amplification did you have in mind or own? Also, MUST it be B&W speakers?

I assumed it was the matched power amp (MM8077)....but maybe not.
