Hi,I am in the process of buying bluray player,I would like to connect it to my old but still good Pioneer amp via the analogue outs. Now the question.I have a couple of pairs of old Component leads(3 cables each set!)will they be okay to use to connect the player to the amp?

I have had a long discussion with a mate about the subject,He states the cables should just be a standard analogue audio lead! Also where does 75ohm come into play?As i know these can be used as digital cables!

Any help will be appreciated,Thanks speed

75ohm is usually used in digital audio and video cables. If you visit the bluejeanscables.com website you will see they use the same coax e.g. Belden 1505 cable for both stereo audio and component video. Basically in the real world, it shouldn't make any difference.
