Blumenhofer Mini Versus Neat Petite

Based on numerous reviews, the Neat Petite sound like the right speakers for my setup (see what I did there). I have not had a chance to listen to them in person. Recently got the chance to listen to the Blumenhofer minis and I was impressed! Has anyone gotten to hear both sets? Favor one over the other? Any feedback (on the forum, not the speakers themselves) is welcomed!

From everything I read, that is also my understanding. Coupled that with the fact that I was able hear these in person and purchase locally, it just made sense.

Having heard the Neats (bunged and unbunged) in free space, neither would I, that's for sure.

But the spec says those Minis are bass reflex too 🤔

Indeed.
To be honest the best speakers to use in such a position would have been Epos ES7n but they are a tad more expensive.

They sound good to my ear. I am sure there is more ideal placement, but happy wife happy life lol

Got to keep the wife happy that's for sure.
Probably why my set-up is now relegated to main bedroom....

Yes but apparently crossover is set really high so that 4" woofer is more of a midrange driver , allegedly.
So, some sort of bass reinforcement is necessary, which is probably why it sounds good where it is.

That is exactly what the my local HiFi guy said about these. I have them coupled into a 5.1.2 surround system. My next planned purchase is a valve amplifier with home theater bypass and subwoofer output. I won’t have a true stereo set up, but closer.

Excellent valve amp by the way if you intend to use it primarily with these speakers.
