Hi, I am looking for a good Bluetooth device to connect my Pioneer amp VSX-LX70 to my B&W FPM4 speakers please?

Would this be a good option?

It’s got RCA cables with it, so I will connect that way with aux output,

With having a DAC I am hoping it will sound as good as an Arcam R-Blink?

Getting it tomorrow now so hoping for the best.

The WiiM's are great .... not sure if you're using a streaming provider but there's much better alternatives to Blue Tooth if you are.

The Mini hasn't got the best DAC in the world, I did a quick google on your amp / inputs and it seems it has optical inputs as well, as a minimum, the Mini comes with an optical cable so compare them and see which you prefer.

I am using Apple Music is that good?

Optical cable could work.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm not an Apple Music user but the WiiM is compatible with Airplay 2 which is probably better than Blue Tooth.
Cool, thanks. Should be coming in the next 30 mins. One problem I am having is connecting the subwoofer on the Pioneer VSX-LX70 amp with stereo or just in general too, it doesn’t seem to want to work! I have tried a few things now and still no luck. I don’t particularly want to buy another amp as I would like the money for another sub preferrably.

I have been thinking about floorstanding speakers though in the past and now I have these 2 speakers which are equally up to task. I will see how things go with getting the sub connected first.

I can’t get the sub to connect when setup the speakers with the mic for calibration. It’s only coming from left and right and not the sub? Also with this Wiim Mini device the speakers are distorting when first coming on and I am not playing music there is a distorting sound coming from the speakers? Any ideas here?

Have you set the Amp setting to sub on? you have a choice 1 or 2 subs .

No. How do I do that? I think I need a new amp, it’s distorting with the Wiim Mini device connected to it without it isn’t. It’s a very old amp and it’s really complicated to use. It’s not like the modern day ones. Any suggestions on amps for this 2.1 system project?

Ok, thanks for this, I will try optical and using the subwoofer with the manual instructions. I will let u know how I get on, just need a coffee first. 🙂

the Wiim into the Amp then choose optical on the remote of the Amp
The sub lead directly in to the Amp .but you must turn on the sub setting within the Amp to ON.If the sub has a volume on it set to halfway.
I just got a connection via tuner and it’s still distorting?

if your using the Wiim App you must choose optical out on the Wiim App
Yep, got optical output on the App, just did auto.

I can’t get the sub to connect though, I re do the calibration and it’s only recognising left and right when that process is finished I try going into the menu to try and set the sub on which I did but I didn’t manage to save it, now I can’t find it again!

Music quality on the Wiim Mini is really good.

I think I am happy with how it all is now - thanks. 🙏. I just will use this amp without a sub, or would’ve had to buy one anyway because I only have one sub.
