Question Black, White, or Silver?

Black amp, black CDP, black head amp, black speakers, one white acrylic turntable, one black turntable.
Black is king. I don't think any of my systems over the years have been any other colour. I find lighter colours too showy, too "look at me"🙂

I voted 'Mixture or Don't Care' .. Of course I do care however, I tend to stick with white and/or silver however, my latest set up has removed both white and silver from my set up and now it's black Nova PE and cream/black Speakers ... again much of this is to fit into the room decor ... which due to my wife is changing again later this week!!.

Some (maybe most) hi-fi dealers understand that optical pairing to the masses works better for sales compared to "logical" pairing for the smaller groups (luckily a lot of logical pairing is also a good optical one as black and silver was range-wide). And from a 'hifi is furniture' or 'hifi compliments furniture' point of view I totally understand that. Found this retrospective JBL - Quad combination as an optional set. And I have to say.. it is attractive, as long as one can live with an orange accentuated interior.

well.. maybe when someone pulls out a credit card to buy that set, the interior can be styled around it.

Maybe hi-fi can reach even bigger markets of regular consumers if they sell their products in shops with these kinds of showrooms.
