I am about to purchase B & W 684 Home Theatre Speaker package and have been advised to Bi wire them, should this apply to all speakers front and rear.

Another question what cable would you use, i am considering QED silver anniversary XT biwire

That's entirely up to you really, but personally I didn't bother with the rears, just the fronts and centre.ÿ

I wouldn't even bother bi-wiring the fronts. I have tried it in various systems and gained nothing. Bi-amping is a different matter but IMHO, bi-wiring is a WOT.

Well I couldn't agree with that, for stereo (music), I definitely heard a difference when I biwired the fronts and I'm the biggest sceptic going (don't get me started on some of the trash that was being "demonstrated" (fraudulently in one case) at the last Bristol show I went to!), however I just don't think there's enough going on with the rears for it to be worthwhile.

Bi amping and Biwiring the fronts gets the max detail out of them, the rears just do a normal run.
