Catcher:Andrew, Gramophone writer, I thought you of all people would have picked up on the link.

Good save, but the fact that the stage door keeper at the Royal Opera House had a granny who was partial to the odd Glacier Fruit would have been slightly less tenuous.

But it's amazing what putting 'Dame Janet Baker' and 'fox' into Google will get you...

Our council sent a circular to prepare us all for this brave new recycling world. Then said but itll all be different if you live in a block of flats with multiple bins used by all residents, and we'll let you know.

Thing is, i do.

And they havent, as yet.

Where is that prat tim, by the way? Dont see him here much these days. Still, good riddance.

And remember, folks, "When everyone is against you, it means that you are absolutely wrong-- or absolutely right".

Tho it probably doesnt at all. But hey, whos countin'?

Craig M.:we had a couple of foxes "at it" outside our house the other night. why do they have to be so noisy about it?

There is actually a sound physiological reason for it, but you don't want to know, and neither do the moderators.

chebby:I am contemplating an impetuous financially insane upgrade today that will keep some fellow Hampshire chaps/chapesses in work a bit longer and bankrupt me for the next two months! If I do it today full details will follow. (But I may chicken out.)

Yes but at least the comment brought it back round to the original post title.

Do you reckon the nice, sensible people from Hi-Fi Choice and Hi-Fi News ever visit this asylum?

al7478:Oh, i dunno. We should at least ask them if they want to know first...

True. OK - hands up who wants to know what the lady fox does to the gentleman fox that makes him do all that squealing?

I read it elsewhere.

I don't know if the XS suits his iTunes systems though; it doesn't have digital inputs.

Won't that have the same effect?

I bought a second hand single by Noosha Fox once. Does that qualify for this thread?

I went on a schools trip to the kennels and training centre for Strathclyde Police Dog Branch in Pollok Park. We were in the car park and were being shown the dogs and equipment that they carry in the vans. There was another police dog sitting with its handler next to the vans, so about 4 dogs were there. We watched with amazement as a family of foxes, ma, paw and the two kids wandered quite happily passed all of this and with a few feet of the dogs. Neither the foxes or the dogs reacted at all. We were expecting a riot to erupt. Even the instructor presenting the demonstartion was taken aback. Foxes fear nothing it would appear.

No, because if they were nice, sensible people they'd never read either of those magazines.

No, because that would have been a secondhand suh-suh-suh-single.
