Hey guys i'm thinking about installing Bias Lightning or a Amblone stands for amblilight, the concept seems valid, but does it work

The black levels on my set are fantastic and i have Triluminos Display so i dont need any device to give me better blacks or more vivid colour, what i'm after if possible is to help with DSE which my set suffers on panning shot especially football content so i try to avoid watching football games in the dark.

Could anyone point me in the right direction as i'm a novice on this subject!! my TV is not wall mounted just sits on my tv stand

Bias lighting will help with perceived black level during dark-room viewing, even though you're happy with your Sony's performance in this regard.

I can't think of a reason bias lighting would reduce perception dirty screen effect. Is this something you notice less during daytime, or with the lights on?

Bias lighting is worth installing if you prefer to watch TV in the dark. If it reduces perception of DSE then that's a bonus, but I wouldn't count on it as a solution.

For me viewing football in the day light does be ok and very hard to spot any problems.

Night viewing is when i can really spot the DSE. Maybe just my imagination but i do think the light helps those panning shots. (just my opinion)

I think the Bias lighting was just wishful thinking on my part in the hope it would reduce some effect .
