Bi-wiring?

Iv'e read in other post that bi-wiring has 'nasty brass jumpers' between the terminals. What exactly does this mean? as I've got bi-wired cables (Nordost) that just go into the back of my speakers (BW CDM1SE) without any. ie four terminals on the speakers running into two on the back of the amplifier (Roksan Caspian MK1).

i think it means you should remove the brass jumpers from between the hf and lf speaker inputs when bi-wiring
