Im thinking of experimenting by bi-wireing my pair of kef iq5.

can any one advise me , if i need to use the same type of speaker cable in the set up, i am currently using chord epic at the moment (the one with just the single red/black wireing)

will i notice a significant difference if i was to get the same cable again for the bi-wire or can any one sugest an alternative as epic is quite expensive (i bought it when i was flush at the time)

many thanks

Your best bet is to match the speaker cable.

Your best bet would be to sell your Epic and buy new Epic Super Twin, maybe the cheapest overall route?

Given how good Epic is matching it with a cheape cable, even from Chord won't soudnd as good.

Thanks for that, but will there be a noticible difference in sound quality? ie detail ?

also would the same affect not be gained just by getting speaker jumpers made from epic cable as i would only need a very short lenth of cable,

sorry if its a stupid question but im puzzeld how two cables from the same terminal on the amp could be different, then just using jumpers made of the same cable
