Bi amping with 1 Older and 1 newer Audiolab 8000p

Hi,

I have an Audiolab 8000q/8000p (newer version) set up at the moment, I also have an older style 8000p (with 2 instead of the 4 speaker posts as on the newer 8000p).

Am i right in thinking this older amp would be OK to pair with the newer version to bi amp the system? The older 8000p set up to handle HF.

I am using a Naim CD player + Sonos (on NAS) through an rDAC with Celestion A2 speakers.
