Best sub 1k imaging and bassy headphones

I currently got Hifiman Ananda. Dt990 pro. And fostex t50rp mk3 mayflower mod bass version. I am looking for advice on a bass well imaging headphone under 1k usd. The ananda just don't seem to be my cup of tea. The have a rattled metal sound at times that annoys me. Looking for recommendations I love bassy headphones and want good imaging as they will mostly be used for gaming and movies. With a mix of music on the side. Thoughts? O and I use a JDS labs Element 2 to drive.

Find a used Massdrop x Fostex TH/TR - X00 Mahogany or Ebony. They aren't in production anymore though.

The Audeze LCD2 Classic is another great choice with plenty of slam.

Personally I find that the DT1990 Pro and the AKG K712 Pro both have enough bass for electronica. As does the Focal Elear/Elex. I wouldn't buy a Sennheiser 6 series for it though.

At just above $1K you can get a ZMF Atticus or Aeolus. That would be a direct upgrade for the liquidy smoothness and slam of the X-00.

Mmmm looking into those. I was recommended the audeze but those zmf look rather sexy. Thanks for the input! Wont scoff at other ideas here 🙂.
