hi want a 2nd tv for the kitchen will be getting sky multiroom installed shortly wont be any hd source. As there is going to be no set veiwing distance im just curious of what you think the best size is.dont want to go small i,e less than 32 but not not sure the very big screens handle sd all that well. its a very big kitchen so a big screen will not be aproblem, may even go for two smaller ones.what do you think

I would have thought 32in would be fine for a kitchen, unless the room's the size of an aircraft hanger!

well i do park my lear jet in the conservatory,bu seriously the kitchen is actually two rooms knocked into one so its adining room/kichen really and the tv will be at one end so i could be watching fom 6ft away or 20ft sd only

Sounds simular to my Kitchen/dining room, I have a 42"" plasma on the wall in mine which works very well.

thats sounds great, what do you watch on it? any hd sources or just sd.mine will be just for sky sd so does this perform ok

If I were you I'd try and pick up a second hand standard def plasma. Chances are it'd have a better picture than any of the current high def screens for SD footage. Something like a Fujitsu if you can find one (best SD image I've ever seen), NEC or Panasonic.

I have a older generation Fujitsu running Freeview (external tuner as screen does not have one) and occasional XBOX 360 via VGA

Hope not as it my boy. Was only pic I had to show a 42"" is not that big and if the OP has simular size room to me then 32"" set is way too small.
