Best Home Cinema Sound for £2k - £3k

I have a Sony KDL46X3500, PS3 and Sky HD. I've been look on the internet at amps and style speaker packages for ages now and need to make the purchase soon.

I was thinking of Onkyo TX-SR875 with B&W MT-30 Speaker Package, but there seems to be a lot of choice at the level and I'm not sure whether I'm missing anything. I have a smallish tv room at the moment but will be moving to a larger house in the next 12 months so need a package that will have the performance to cope.

The amp needs to be future friendly, the speakers need to have plenty of kick. Both items need to be flexible for me to build on.

How do you rate this package? Is there a better option? Were are the best deals at the mo?

Finally! I have s pair of B&W DM603 S3 Speakers. Should I build around that or by a system in which I can use the 603's to increase the system to 7.1 ( therefore needing the right amp)?

I need you're valued advice to help me get the best system for the money

Now you have waited this long, I would wait another month for your receiver. The 875 would be great but Sony are bringing out what could be a real gem of a receiver, the STR-DA4400ES has the spec for the future and it could be worth waiting a bit longer. It will cost a bit more than the 875 (double - £1500!) but you could save money and be under your budget. I would get the matching centre speaker to go with your 603s (not sure how much but around £200) and then buy 2 MT1s (£200) from the MT30 package. You could also get another 2 for a 7.1. This way, you get to pick your own subwoofer. The PV1 is £950. You could get my subwoofer for instance for cheaper and it is awesome.
