I have a set of Grado SR60's which are superb and I love them butthey really do leak sound. Any recommendations for a set of closed back headphones? I looked atthe Beyer DT231 Galactic but read that the ear cups may be a bit small. Musically I listen to rock and like bass but also some detail so don't want the bass drowning everything out.

Budget up to about £75, less is possible.

Cheers

Hi Paul,

I'd check out Sennheiser's HD280 Pro - great all-rounders, originally designed for studio monitoring. A quick Google search shows plenty of retailers selling them for within your budget: not bad considering the list price is £100.

Cheers Clare. Managed to get a new pair for £64 today so am looking forward to getting them. I slipped up really - Amazon had a set yesterday at 42 pounds - I hesitated as wasn't sure whether they were the right ones and when I revisited the site having confirmed they were, the price had gone up to 75. Ah well......

Thanks again.

Paul
