Best 42 to 47 inch television to choose?

Hi, ive read a bit on the forums and ive come up with some questions.

Im after a 42"-47" HDTV to replace my current 32" SD TV.

I will be viewing at a distance of approximately 4 metres. I want one for 720p movies, 1080p movies and playing my xbox360 on so far ive been looking at:

LG 47LG5000 47" True HD Freeview LCD TV

and

Samsung Series 5 LE40A559P4F 40" True HD Freeview LCD TV

But ive been reading and i see that at these sort of sizes its best to steer cleer of an LCD and move towards a plasma?

Any ideas or help in the matter would be great. If anyone can suggest an alternative tv, that would be great also.

Really i would like a TV with a DVI in socket...but i cant seem to find one VGA inputs are the only i can find :/

Hi there, I don't have any views on your TV selection but if you're looking to connect your xbox, a DVI->HDMI cable will work fine. The signals from both connectors are completely interchangeable (except of course the audio).
