probably a dumb question but the DAC debate totaly confuses me,would this product be a god interface between netbook and amp ?

For doing what? This appears to be designed for digital recording & mixing, not so much for (high quality) playback of digital audio (although it might do this - download the manual..). If it is playback look for other options like the V-DAC, DacMagic, Beresford etc..

hi,it would be for playback of spotify mainly.I have found several reviews saying that this offers a big stepup from the onboard audio of laptop sound-cards.
