I think the OP's original postulate was that A = B and B = C therefore A = C.

Ipso facto all WHF 5* ratings are rubbish.

Surely what WHF means is that the best product at price A is equal to an avarage product at price B. This does not mean that that best product at price A will be as good as the best product at price B. Nor does it mean that the best product at price A will be as good as an avarage product at price C.
