I plan on buying the MT-30 but I wonder if you are able to tell me if there will be any new versions in the near future, since it was launched somewhere in 2004-2005? Quite old..

I have used google to see if any information is available but unfortunately I have not found anything.

I've not heard anything about an update or new version.

I guess most companies update their stuff when it starts to lose 'stars' (and thus, popularity), so they're forced into taking a fresh look at older stuff.

The MT-30s are up there as one of, if not the best style speaker packages around.

Basically, I'm saying "If it ain't broke, why fix it"?

Don't forget that you should get a tasty chunk off RRP too.

Sounds like a good reason not to update a product.
Friday I have 4 hours between 2 flights from London Gatwick (I live in the Netherlands).

I am going to follow your example (other posts) and head to Tottenham Court Road to (hopefully) buy it at PNR!

Hello troetelturk

There are no current plans to change the MT-30 system - it's still working very well as it is, we feel.

So buy with confidence!

Good to know that. Thanks.

I agree that the MT-30 is still working very well, particularly the PV-1 Sub but maybe, the M1 speakers could be "enhanced" like what KEF did with their SE edition which according to this mag beats the M1 speakers. The overall KEF package loses out to the MT-30 because of the PV-1 sub.
