Hi all,

I'm looking to find out it is worth to upgrade from B&W 685 S2 to B&W 683 S2 considering my room size is 15.8 ft x 12.5 ft. My current amplifier is Cambridge Audio Azur 651A, but that can be upgraded as well. I am only thinking about sound quality, not cost here.

Will I get a lot more from B&W 683 S2 or do they need a bigger room to really sound good?

Thanks!

Stick with the 685s, the 683s will definitely need more space to do them justice. You can also consider the 684 S2 - B&W seemed to design these with smaller rooms but from reviews I've read you really need to audition them first - preferably in your home - check with your dealer if you can borrow them over a weekend.

I agree, to much speaker for the room.

Maybe an upgrade monitor-wise: CM serie or another brand like KEF R300 or ..... ?

Thank you all for the replies!

manicm, 684 S2 got not so great reviews, so I'll just stick to what I have for now.

Reijer, thanks for suggestions, but I'll keep the 685s2s for now.
