Avatar on LX52

I am having problems getting Avatar to run on a BDP-LX52.

I've tried two different disks, both have serious picture / sound breakup in chapter 5. This may occur elsewhere but I haven't got any further yet.

I have updated to the latest firmware (ver 3.35 I believe) but still no joy.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Clean the disc, with a mild solution of washing up liquid to remove all grease, rince off then dry with a very soft cloth, make sure no scratches then retry, assuming a software update is'nt necessary & the discs rented.

The latest firmware is version 3.65 and i did update my LX52 to this and played Avatar with no problems what so ever, so if you have updated your LX52 to this version then you may have a problem on your hand.

Contact Pioneer for further help if you think your machine is faulty, the company is very good to deal with and help as much as they can.

Thanks for the replies.

Cleaning disk did not help and my firmware ver. is 3.65 (not 3.35 as I mistakenly put). I think I need to get someone to play it through another player and see if it still plays up, then contact Pioneer.
