AV system - Updated

Just showing off my current setup. I have added the second Monitor Audio RSW12 subwoofer and a Logitech Harmony One remote. I have also had to swap my 60GB PS3 for a new 120GB PS3 Slim due to the blu-ray drive giving up on the 60GB. I have also added my PC which has a decent spec (i7-860, 6GB RAM, 1.5TB HDD, BD Drive, 24" LED lit 1080p LCD, etc)

I do need to tidy the wires etc then I will do some better pictures with my SLR. Here's a taster -

Also the seats aren't shiny, it's just the flash. My list of the kit is very long so my signature sumarises but just ask if I've missed anything!

Best thing to date I think was 2012, transformed the film into a truely ground shaking experience. I loved it.

The LX91 is amazing, what it does with Bluray and even DVD is astounding. One of the hidden talents is CDs, via the VDH 'The Wave' phonos the sound is perfect (who needs a stereo system!)

The TV is brilliant but I wish I'd bought the 6090 now. As a result I'm saving for a projector and electric screen, I hope companies hurry up with 3D/super HD projectors!

Yeah the room is like 7mx6.5m (6.5x5.5 centre) so more than enough for a 2m wide screen inbetween my floorstanders 😉 Thanks Max

Well although one RSW12 is loud it didn't completely fill the room, with bass due to it having such volume to fill. With 2 RSW12s (half volume on reciever, half volume on each sub) its more quality than more quantity. The bass integrates much better. There is also alot more effortlessness giving a feeling of huge reserves of bass if the film needs it!

Not so sure. I'm saving up for the full MA experience, and I'm pretty sure your Yammy would knock spots of either of my Arcams...

My room is 6m x 6m, so I'm very interested to hear what you found with only one RSW12. Hmm, not sure if the other half would be happy with two subs - have to work on that one, while saving up for the first...

Well one RSW12 is still very impressive. However with one RSW12 I found that it struggled to give me that immersive bass. The room which it's in is roughly the same size as yours, so alot of volume to fill. When I added a second sub the bass became less localized and intergrates alot better into the whole surround field. Also adding a second sub makes bass seem more effortless. Try one and see how you get on
