Hi All

I would like to get suggestions for front wide & front high & surround speakers. I currently have an LG 60" PV250 plasma TV, an Onkyo TX-NR1007 AV Receiver, Sky HD, PS3, with Dali Suite 2.8 Fronts, Centre & Surround speakers.

(Have also previously been using MS903i's for surrounds & JBL control 1's for wide/high). AE Neo Sub & an old Celestion Sub.

May have to substitute Dali surrounds as they are silver (not matching the wooden finish on the Fronts & centre, ie. A no-no from the better half's point of view.

Out of interest, any suggestions for complete speaker system would be appreciated. :)

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy

you haven`t given us a budget to work with but if its a speaker designed for movie performance and good with music as well then may I suggest taking a look at MK Sound speakers.

I feel that Onkyo and MK are quite a good pairing as well

Thanks for replies, for the wide & high fronts would bi/di/tripole be suitable ?

So far I have bought everything competitively priced (at the time of purchase), however I do realise that a matched 9.2 speaker system is not going to be cheap. What might be a starting point ? (Current room is 8m X 5m, but I do hope to convert an outbuilding (5m x 3.5m) into a cinema room in the near future.)

:)

The Dali Fronts, Surrounds and Centre cost £550, so it pains me to pay more than that for two pairs of speakers, however I might be persuaded ?

Any ideas on Bi/Di/Tripole vs. conventional ?

The obvious thing to do would be to look at some Dali speakers to match in with what you've got. If you start adding in different manufacturers now, it's going to screw up the consistency you currently have.

I would consider looking into the new Paradigm CT range.

Paradigm

The CT100 5.1 come in at about 1K !(seems like great VFM to me) have seen some great reviews about this range..... "Sensational compact sub/sat array"(one example). You will notice CT 200 and 400 at bigger budgets.

You could look into the possibility of building a speaker package with this set up.
