AV amp for Hi-Fi and Home Cinema

Hi All,

I'm moving house soon and looking for some new kit as I can get a home cinema at last.

I already have a pair of Kef Q15 speakers which I love, but that's all I have left from my old hi-fi. What I'd like is to combine home cinema and hi-fi as much as possible, so I would need an AV amp which is reasonbly good at both, a CD player, then a 3.1 speaker system, as I would use the Kefs as the fronts as well as hi fi speakers.

Total budget of around £1000. Any recommendations?

Yamaha, Marantz and Denon are musical speakers. I prefer the Yamaha. Look at RX-A1040 which belongs ot the superior Aventage line. Demo before purchase.

If it helps I asked the chaps in seven oaks the same thing and they were pretty magnanimous on the yamaha rx-a1040
