I have this hifi at the current moment, it has an aux port in the back which i currently use for plugging into my pc and listening to music (phono to 3.5mm jack)

I was wondering if i could use that for use with a subwoofer As I need bass basically the speakers are alright for now but Id like to Add my Logitech Sub I have, Ive connected it up before but Phono to phono and then used the audio in on the sub to play music but I wondered if that was correct or If there Is a better way because Im fed up of buying wires and buying things That just add to a collection like I have already so Help is needed

Thanks for the useful picture showing the available connections on the back of the stereo.

So basically you are asking whether you can use an input as an output???

If you've already succesfully connected the subwoofer one way, why are you trying to connect it another way? TBH I think you shoulda accept that you probably need to spend more money to get a system with some decent bass rather than jerry rig a weak mini system.

Do you have a budget you are prepared to spend? Worth looking at something that will take the sound via USB as will likely be an improvement in sound as from your headphone socket. Have a look at some reviews for computer speakers at different price points.

Once you get to £100+ can start to think about separate DAC/amp/speakers or active speakers (second hand advisable up to budget of maybe £200, even then will be consideration depending what quality you are seeking - it's all relative!

You can improve on sound (& bass) from your mini system, but set a budget and I'm sure there will be plenty advice.

Is that a photo of your actual system and if so is that how you have it setup at the moment?
